Canoe Trip - 21st/22nd October 2006
At Stovykla we spoke to the scouts and said that we would be running the next weekend event in October and we were hoping to go Canoeing.
The plan is to go canoeing the weekend of the 21st/22nd October. People would meet on the Friday night, and those that can drive would hopefully take as many as possible.
Cars would leave at 6.00am on the Saturday to get to Glasbury on Wye around 8.00am so we could start the canoe at 9.00am ish. The trip is around 10miles down the river and we would hope to stop at Whitney on Wye where there is a campsite with wash block and a B&B for those that wish to stay there. They also do breakfast for campers, result!!!
The estimated cost is £35.00 per head (excluding fuel), but this includes canoe, jackets and food (not B&B Breakfast - that’s an extra £5.00).
There is a group limit of 12 people and you have to be at least 13 years old to canoe. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a concent form signed by a parent/guardian, and all money must be with us by the 29th September 2007.
